Trex Rain Escape System

Trex Rain Escape is a high-performing under decking system that channels water away from the space below your deck, keeping it completely dry even during heavy rain. We install this system with precision so it functions exactly as intended and integrates cleanly with your existing deck structure.

Customization Options

Under decking opens up a range of possibilities for how you use the space beneath your deck. We help you configure the area as an outdoor living room, a covered entertainment hub, or a protected storage solution, depending on your goals and the layout of your property.

Covered Outdoor Extensions

For homeowners who want to expand their usable outdoor space, under decking paired with solid roofing or deck coverings creates a fully sheltered area that works in all weather. We design these extensions to connect naturally with your existing structure for a clean, finished result.

Why Professional Under Decking Makes a Difference

Our Deck Framing Process

1. Initial Consultation

We assess your deck structure, drainage needs, and intended use of the space below to determine the best under-deck waterproofing solution.

2. Design & Framing Planning

We develop a customized layout for the under-deck drainage system, outlining panel placement, slope direction, water management, and integration with the deck structure for approval before installation.

3. Permitting & Approvals

All required permits, specifications, and documentation are prepared to ensure the project complies with local building codes and waterproofing standards.

4. Site Preparation

The deck area is inspected and prepared for installation by confirming structural conditions, cleaning the framing system, and marking layout points for proper drainage alignment.

5. System Installation & Framing Integration

The under deck drainage system is installed, including Trex RainEscape components, waterproof panels, sealing membranes, and drainage channels, securely integrated into the deck framing for effective water diversion.

6. Waterproofing & Finishing

All seams, connections, and penetrations are sealed and tested to ensure proper water flow and protection. Downspouts and drainage outlets are completed to direct water away from the usable space below.

7. Final Inspection & Testing

A final walkthrough verifies proper installation, secure sealing, effective drainage performance, and overall system functionality before project completion.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. From start to finish, everyone we worked with at DPTU was phenomenal! Christine opened up the communication by responding to our web inquiry, then Bryan coordinated with us to visit the property and look at our current deck and what we were hoping to achieve by going composite instead of pressure treated. He provided concise information that answered all of our questions before landing on a project plan. Communication was always consistent, and Mark and Jeff even made site visits to ensure everything was done accordingly. I will recommend DPTU to anyone who has similar needs, whether its an upgrade or not. Cannot say enough good things about this company and its people!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Deck and Patio Tune Up did an amazing job on both our front and back patio. They replaced our patio railing which was made of wood and had rotted away. They came in and finished the front and back patio railing within a few days. They were quick to respond and provided a free consultation. They gave me regular updates as to when the project would start. They kept to their word and came on the scheduled day. They did a fantastic job. The job was not rushed at all. I saw how the team discussed what to do when certain unexpected things popped up along the way. The team who installed the patio railing took their time to complete quality work. They used quality materials and regularly inspected their work to make sure it was done appropriately. I absolutely recommend Deck and Patio Tune Up!
