Our Services

Deck Installation

We handle full PVC decking installation for both residential and commercial properties. Permitting, site preparation, structural framing, and surface installation are all managed by our team to keep every project on track and up to code in Wilmington, NC.

Repair and Restore

Decks that have taken on wear or frame damage need thorough repair to remain safe and usable. We carry out inspections, board replacement, frame repairs, resurfacing, additions, and full remodeling to get the structure back to proper working condition.

Footing and Framing

A strong deck starts well below the surface with properly built structural support. We install concrete footings and driven pilings alongside pressure-treated and KDAT lumber framing to give the foundation the stability it needs to last.

Custom Deck Design

We design each layout around the specific property and how the space will actually be used. Platform, raised, multi-level, pool and spa, covered, screened porch, rooftop, cantilevered, and freestanding options are all available, with 3D CAD modeling to confirm every detail before construction begins.

Additional Deck Features

A complete build covers more than just the surface boards. We include skirting in styles from lattice to composite panels, Trex Rain Escape underdeck systems, railing, lighting, stairs, privacy screens, and wheelchair ramps within any full project scope.

What Makes PVC Decking a Strong Choice

No Sealing or Staining Needed

The material requires minimal upkeep since it does not absorb moisture or need surface treatments to stay protected.

Resists Rot and Insects

Unlike natural wood, these boards will not rot, splinter, or attract insect damage over time.

Holds Color and Finish

The surface stays consistent far longer than wood or other materials exposed to outdoor conditions.

Fits Any Project Scale

Professional installation works equally well for residential builds and high-traffic commercial properties of any size.

Still have questions?

What are the advantages of PVC decking materials?

It resists moisture, rot, insects, and UV fading without requiring sealing or staining. It is a practical, long-lasting option for properties where low maintenance and consistent performance matter most.

Can PVC deck builders install multi-level or custom decks?

Yes. Our PVC Decking team works with a wide range of layouts including multi-level, rooftop, cantilevered, and pool deck configurations. Design and engineering are handled in-house to accommodate most site conditions and preferences.

How does PVC decking installation differ from wood or composite?

It follows similar structural steps but uses fully synthetic boards that need no sealing or staining after the build. The material is also less prone to expansion and contraction compared to wood-based alternatives.

Periodic inspections to check framing and fasteners, along with routine surface cleaning, are generally enough to keep the deck in good shape across its full lifespan in Wilmington, NC.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. From start to finish, everyone we worked with at DPTU was phenomenal! Christine opened up the communication by responding to our web inquiry, then Bryan coordinated with us to visit the property and look at our current deck and what we were hoping to achieve by going composite instead of pressure treated. He provided concise information that answered all of our questions before landing on a project plan. Communication was always consistent, and Mark and Jeff even made site visits to ensure everything was done accordingly. I will recommend DPTU to anyone who has similar needs, whether its an upgrade or not. Cannot say enough good things about this company and its people!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Deck and Patio Tune Up did an amazing job on both our front and back patio. They replaced our patio railing which was made of wood and had rotted away. They came in and finished the front and back patio railing within a few days. They were quick to respond and provided a free consultation. They gave me regular updates as to when the project would start. They kept to their word and came on the scheduled day. They did a fantastic job. The job was not rushed at all. I saw how the team discussed what to do when certain unexpected things popped up along the way. The team who installed the patio railing took their time to complete quality work. They used quality materials and regularly inspected their work to make sure it was done appropriately. I absolutely recommend Deck and Patio Tune Up!
